Kasey has her Masters in early childhood education and special education. She works one on one and in small groups for early literacy intervention ages 4-9. For executive functioning tutoring, she works one on one with children of all ages. Kasey works with children in the Miami-Dade area and virtually.
About Kasey
Kasey grew up in Long Island, NY. She attended Syracuse University and graduated with a degree in Child and Family Studies and Psychology. Kasey received her Masters degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Kasey taught 2nd grade for 3 years in New York City public schools before moving to Miami to continue teaching 2nd grade in Miami-Dade public schools. Kasey is trained in Wilson’s Fundations, Reading Horizons, Heggerty, and Orton Gillingham and will curate lessons following the science of reading tailored to your child’s needs. Kasey has experience tutoring children with ADHD in executive functioning skills (i.e., note taking, schedule managing, organizational skills).
Tutoring Services
Early Literacy Intervention
Work with children ages 4-9. Complete comprehensive assessment with write up. Will work on phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, spelling, writing, and comprehension based on your child’s needs.
Executive Functioning
Work with children of all ages on executive functioning skills. This includes: study skills, note taking strategies, schedule management, organizational skills.
